General Terms and Conditions

The General Terms and Conditions of the online shop are prepared in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-UPB2) based on the recommendations of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and international e-commerce codes.


The General Terms and Conditions regulate the way of operation of the online shop, the rights and obligations of the provider (hereinafter referred to as “the provider”), visitors and users of the website (hereinafter referred to as “the customer”).

The provider undertakes to provide the customer with the following information at all times:

  • company details (name and place of business, registration details),
  • contact details to enable the user to communicate with the provider,
  • essential characteristics of the goods,
  • terms of delivery of the goods,
  • the clearly expressed prices of the goods,
  • method of payment and delivery,
  • validity of the offer,
  • the period during which withdrawal from the contract is still possible and the conditions for withdrawal,
  • an explanation of a complaint procedure, including full details of the contact person or customer service.


  1. Order accepted: after placing an order, the customer receives an email notification that the order has been accepted. This is not a confirmation that the goods are in stock, but only a notification that the order has been received by the provider and the process of checking the deliverability of the item has started. The customer has always access to comprehensive information on the status and content of the order on the provider's website.
  2. Order confirmed: the provider reviews the order, checks the deliverability of the items ordered and confirms or rejects the order with a reason. The provider may call the customer / its contact number to verify the information or to ensure the accuracy of the delivery. The provider is not liable for any damages resulting from longer delivery times or from non-delivery of goods which the provider does not hold in stock in its own warehouse.
  3. Goods shipped: The provider prepares and ships the goods within the agreed time frame and notifies the customer by an e-mail.


Payment of the goods ordered in the online shop is possible by cash on delivery or by a credit card via Stripe.
All products are delivered to the customer by the contractual partners Pošta Slovenije and DPD (hereinafter referred to as the "delivery partner") to the customer's address in Slovenia, which is specified in the order.
The delivery partner delivers the ordered goods to the addressee in person at the address selected by the customer as the place of collection. The customer pays the purchase price plus delivery costs to the delivery partner. If there is no-one at home at the chosen address, the delivery person leaves a note in the home mailbox indicating the place of collection (the nearest post office of Pošta Slovenije) and the time frame within which the addressee may collect the parcel. If the addressee does not collect the goods within the time frame specified in the notice, the parcel is returned to the sender.
The cost of delivery is EUR 4.00 per order, and for purchases exceeding of EUR 50, the delivery costs (packaging, packing, transport, postage) are borne by the provider.


In case of PAYMENT ON DELIVERY, Pošta Slovenije charges an additional fee to the recipient, i.e. for parcels up to EUR 98, the fee amounts to EUR 1.05, for parcels in the value ranging from EUR 98 up to EUR 501.00 the fee is 1.07% of the parcel value, and for parcels whose value is exceeding EUR 501.00 the fee amounts to EUR 5.36.

When using the DPD delivery service, a credit or debit card can be used for payment. A bank fee of 1.50% of your purchase will be charged at the time of payment, for which the DPD courier will issue an additional invoice.

The delivery time for the goods ordered is generally 2 - 4 working days. If the goods are out of stock, the provider informs the customer and they agree the delivery time. Goods are not shipped on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
In cases where the provider ships the ordered products on time and in accordance with the contract, the provider is not held liable for the delivery time exceeded by the contractual delivery partner. The customer undertakes that, due to the delayed delivery of the goods or a different method of delivery of the goods, it waives other means of recovering the costs incurred, the purchase price paid and the delivery costs paid, such as, for example, claims for damages in the form of civil actions and the like, but retains all other minimum rights in accordance with the provisions of Articles 23 and 24 of the Consumer Protection Act.
The customer is obliged to collect the goods from the delivery partner at the address chosen by the customer during the purchase process, under the terms and conditions set out by Pošta Slovenije or DPD. Upon collection, the customer is obliged to check the quantity and quality of the goods received.

International delivery

It is not possible to deliver products outside Slovenia on the payment on delivery basis. The goods can be shipped abroad in the following way: a pro-forma invoice is sent when an order has been placed. The invoice also includes postage, which is charged according to the location of the recipient and the weight of the parcel, according to the price list of the Pošta Slovenije or DPD.


The customer may, within 24 hours of placing an order, send a cancellation of the order to The customer (the above applies exclusively to natural persons who acquire the goods for purposes outside their gainful activity) has the right to notify the company (e-mail: ) within 14 days of receipt of the goods that it withdraws from the contract, without having to give a reason for its decision. The only cost to be borne by the customer in connection with the withdrawal from the contract is the cost of returning the goods. The goods have to be returned to the seller within 30 days of the date of the withdrawal from the contract (purchase). The goods have to be in their original packaging, undamaged and unused, in the quantity as sent to the customer. The customer returns the goods to the provider’s address: Božnar čebelarstvo d.o.o., Polhov Gradec 72, 1355 Polhov Gradec. The goods returned on the PAYMENT ON DELIVERY basis will not be accepted.

If the customer cancels the order and returns the goods, all payments made will be refunded in accordance with the law upon receipt of the goods and upon ascertaining that they are undamaged, in unchanged quantity and unused. The costs of returning the goods in the event of withdrawal from the order are borne by the customer. The money will be refunded as soon as possible, but no later than 15 days after receipt of the cancellation notice and the return of the goods. When returning the goods, the customer will also send the invoice for the goods, personal details and the bank account to which he wishes the payment to be refunded.


The online shop may reject an order for which it finds that it is not possible to carry it out under the conditions and the information available.


If the customer considers that the product received does not meet its wishes and needs, we will replace it with another product or refund the purchase price paid. In this case, the customer has to return the undamaged and unused product in its original packaging to the provider's address. If the original packaging has been opened or the security seal has been removed, the return option does not apply. If the customer discovers that the goods received are damaged, that the contents are missing and that the package shows signs of opening, the customer will start a complaint procedure with Pošta Slovenije or the DPD delivery service. This is done by bringing the parcel to the nearest post office in the same condition as received (without adding or removing anything) and completing a complaint note or informing the DPD delivery service. In cooperation with Pošta Slovenije or DPD we will ensure that the complaint is resolved as soon as possible.


The provider undertakes to protect all personal data of the user at all times.
The provider keeps the IP addresses of all visitors to the online shop indefinitely, and in case of registered members: first and last name, e-mail address, contact telephone number, primary and delivery addresses, country of residence, time and date of registration and archives of communication with the provider.
The provider will use the personal data solely for the purpose of fulfilling the order (sending information material, quotations, invoices) and other necessary communication.
Under no circumstances will the user data be passed on to unauthorised persons.
The user is also responsible for the protection of his/her personal data by ensuring the security of his/her username and password and by using appropriate software (anti-virus) to protect his/her computer.


The online shop uses several security protection systems to ensure adequate protection against loss or misuse of data.


The provider will contact the user by remote communication means only if the user does not expressly object.

Advertising emails will contain the following components:

  • They will be clearly and unambiguously designated as advertisements,
  • the sender will be clearly identifiable,
  • various campaigns, promotions and other marketing techniques will be identified as such. The conditions for participation in them will also be clearly defined,
  • the means of un-subscription of advertising messages will be clearly presented,
  • and the provider will explicitly respect the user's wish not to receive advertising messages.


Božnar Čebelarstvo d.o.o. is not liable for the consequences of the use of products not in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The website contains abundant general information, summarised from various information sources. This information is not a substitute for consultation with a doctor or pharmacist. The photographs of products in the online shop are symbolic and the textual material is for information purposes only. Before using an individual products, it is necessary to read the information and instructions on the packaging. The provider makes every effort to ensure that the information in the online shop is correct and that the product line is regularly updated. However, if users notice any errors, we kindly ask them to bring them to our attention; we are always grateful for any suggestion or improvement.


The provider complies with the applicable consumer protection legislation. The provider makes every effort to comply with its obligation and to resolve complaints as quickly as possible. The provider acknowledges that an essential characteristic of a consumer dispute, at least as far as judicial settlement is concerned, is their disproportion between the economic value of the claim and the costs incurred in settling the dispute itself. This is also the main obstacle as consumers do not bring disputes before courts. Therefore, the provider makes every effort to resolve any disputes amicably. The provisions of the Code of Obligations, the Act on Electronic Commerce on the Market, the Act on the Protection of Personal Data and the Consumer Protection Act apply mutatis mutandis to all relationships and rights and obligations not governed by these General Terms and Conditions.
